Greetings from Rockwell Automation Fair 2017 (November 15 – 16, Houston Texas). Tetranex has been sending a delegation to Rockwell’s annual Automation Fair since our inception, before we became a Recognized System Integrator. This is a great chance for members of our team to learn about Rockwell’s newest innovations and an opportunity to mingle with other integrators and end users from around the world. Aside from the formal program, it’s a great chance to catch up with our regional Rockwell representatives and our friends at Westburne, our local distributor.
Some of the automation product highlights from the show include:
PanelView 5310 Graphics Terminals – The latest edition in the PanelView 5000 line which tightly integrates configuration with the Studio 5000 software environment.
Flex 5000 I/O – A new member of the Flex I/O family supporting 1GB Ethernet/IP connectivity.
FactoryTalk Network Manager – A new software application to help manage and troubleshoot the ever expanding ICS network infrastructure (OT).
CompactLogix 5480 – A CompactLogix controller with an embedded (and more importantly, independent) Windows 10 IoT Enterprise operating system.
1756 Compute Module – A chassis based Windows 10 IoT Enterprise system available for the ControlLogix platform.
1756-EN2TP – A ControlLogix chassis based module supporting the Parallel Redundancy Protocal (IEC 62439-3) to provide seamless failover on the loss of any network component at a recovery rate higher than Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP).
