VOLUNTEERING WITH THE CALGARY HUMANE SOCIETY

The Calgary Humane Society is an open-access shelter, meaning it will never turn away an animal in need. It offers additional services such as: pet training information and classes, a food bank program emergency pet boarding, and a pet safekeeping program, which provides short-term housing at no charge for animals belonging to individuals in crisis due to family violence or abuse.

We did dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, and some general cleaning. We also got a full tour of the facility and got to visit with the adoptable animals. We definitely got our fill of cat cuddles!
