Tetranex Solutions recently sent a contingent of 7 to the annual APEGA President’s Luncheon in Calgary.  These events are a great opportunity to reflect on the impact and responsibilities professional engineers have in this province.  Tetranex is a proud holder of a permit to practice with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).  32% of our current workforce are registered with APEGA and another 18% are registered with the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).

As an APEGA permit holder, Tetranex Solutions promises to support our workforce with the policies, procedures and systems necessary to ensure all deliverables meet the objectives defined by APEGA and the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act.  This is outlined in detail in our professional practice management plan which is provided to every member of our staff.  Whether or not our professional members are applying their stamp to a deliverable, our goal is that they put their work forward with confidence, pride and no trepidation.

At a very high level, there are essentially two components to every project we undertake.  Defining the goal we are trying to reach followed by the application of our engineering principles to achieve this goal.  We are not hired by our clients to simply produce documents and drawings, we are hired to engineer solutions that allow our clients to realize their goals.  Being registered members and permit holders with APEGA promises our clients that these goals will be realized with the highest levels of technical competence and ethical conduct.  Above all else, these goals will be realized without compromise to public safety or well-being.
